משחקים כגון פק-מן, אמידר, סנטיפד, ו-ספייס אינויידרס היו ללא ספק אבות כל משחקי הוידיאו. הגראפיקה שלהם כל כך פרימיטיבית שהיא מסוגלת להצחיק ילד בן שלוש. כל השמות הללו אולי חסרים משמעות לרבים מכם. לבני שלושים וחמש ומעלה הם מזכירים את המנגינות המעצבנות שחוזרות על עצמן עד אין סוף במכונות העתיקות שבלי יוצא מן הכלל היו פוסקות במוקדם או במאוחר: “Game Over” ודורשות מיד: "Insert Coin"
