Backup, Archiving and Recoverability. |
Requires customer to have an additional networked NFS, FTP or Samba server to back up to. Archiving requires a separate back up or storage infrastructure. Recovery requires the customer to run a separate software program to first “clean” the system, then transfer a file from the back up server to the cleansed Cube, and initiates the recovery procedure. Interrupting the restore can corrupt data. |

Backups are completely automated with Intelligent Disk Backup (IDB) Mark I will run a back-up of the customer data every 15 minutes, at the end of the day, and at the end of the week all on its own. Hard disks can easily be taken out and stored offsite if so required.
If the customer requires archiving, the Mark I can also run RAID 1.
System-ER technology allows customer to recover from ANY type of catastrophic hardware failure in two minutes or less- guaranteed with no loss of data. This is due to our journaling file system which assures you’re back up in running - exactly how you were - before the problem occurred. |
